It’s one pattern – both items – cowl or hat!

The drawstring top makes it easy to switch from one to the other, whatever your mood.

The hat can be made to suit all head circumferences from newborn to adult, in any yarn thickness you like.
A Size Chart of suggested measurements for the different ages is included.

YOU WILL NEED 200 – 500 m of any weight yarn, an appropriate sized hook for yarn and a needle for neatening ends.

Since you work to given measurements, it will work to many gauges.

This pattern is written in UK terms with a table of US equivalents provided as applicable.
A chart is included for the cable section.
